Structure designed by qualified engineers

The base structure consists of treated timber beams designed for outdoor use, with cross-bracing achieved using a mortise-and-tenon system developed in Japan thousands of years ago and still in use today. All the various components are secured using special wood screws, which reinforces the entire structural framework of the house and enhances its resistance to and resilience against the elements.

Settlement Base

Thanks to an innovative construction/fixing method developed by the Azimod® team, we have made the entire assembly system quicker and simpler, with an average on-site installation time of 5 days, as no excavation or earthworks are required (except on sites with special conditions).

1. Metal screw option (these compact the soil around them, creating a stable base capable of withstanding significant axial pressure)
2. Stone block option (an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution)

Insulation

The interior walls are constructed from marine-grade birch plywood panels, which offer high resistance to moisture. For thermal and acoustic insulation, we use high-density mineral wool, along with moisture-proof and vapour-barrier membranes, both on the inside and outside of the walls. Ventilated roof and facades. The roof and side walls are clad with weather-resistant shingles that provide acoustic insulation and UV resistance, thanks to the top layer of basalt granules used (CE). Walls, ceilings and floors are constructed using a layered system to ensure excellent energy efficiency.

Projecting Windows

The windows feature thermal break frames; their insulation helps maintain an optimal indoor climate in winter and reduces heat gain in summer, preventing extreme temperature fluctuations that affect our comfort. Outward-opening hinged windows with a tilt-and-turn system. For safety, 44.2 laminated glass with high impact resistance is used on the outside of the frame.

Transport and Assembly

A modular home that can be transported anywhere in the world. Manufactured in-house, Azimod® home modules are delivered to the customer as a finished product.

They are transported to the site in a single shipment, with each module being a transportable unit; the home simply needs to be assembled to become a fully functional dwelling.

SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

Efficient, self-sustaining, and environmentally friendly. It is designed to operate autonomously, without an electrical grid, capable of being self-sustaining by generating its own energy.

The standard version of the photovoltaic system consists of:

  • 4 photovoltaic panels – 1840 W
  • 2 lithium-ion batteries – 7,2 kWh
  • 4200 W inverter

This system was designed to operate autonomously, without an electrical grid, capable of being self-sustaining by generating its own energy. Producing an average of 7 kWh per day and having batteries of equal capacity, the house can operate for 3 to 4 days in a row without sunlight.

The equipment is highly efficient, reducing energy consumption. Maintaining a comfortable lifestyle while also being environmentally friendly.

SOLAR THERMAL SYSTEM

The perfect combination of innovation, design, and usability.

The solar thermal system used integrates the heat transfer tank with insulation. The system operates with anti-corrosion protection fluid that ensures a long service life for the system. The surface of the tank is coated with a solar paint that protects against external corrosion.

It includes all support components, making it the most compact solar system on the market.

COMPOSTING TOILET

In the OFF-GRID version, we provide a composting toilet:

  • Completely odorless;
  • Separates liquids from solids;
  • Extremely lightweight.
  • High capacity – solids tank can be used by 4 people for approximately 2 weeks without needing to be emptied.

In existence since 2011, it is now manufactured in Portugal and made from recyclable materials.

HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM

Full remote and local control of all connected systems. A truly smart home with a very intuitive interface.
The functions of all electrical and electronic equipment in the home can be controlled locally or remotely through an integrated central system.

OFF-GRID SOLUTION

Our homes are energy efficient with low operating costs, durable, and made from eco-friendly materials that are safe for us and the environment.

The OFF-GRID version uses the following equipment:
Backup power from batteries, powered by photovoltaic panels, solar water heating (an innovative system on the market), and a composting toilet complete our OFF-GRID version, making it one of the most complete and sustainable in the world.
