Frequently Asked Questions

I have a plot of land, what steps should I take?

You need to go to your local council and check if there are any restrictions on the project, taking into account the location where the installation will take place. If there are no constraints, which may include many (REN, RAN, POC, etc.), you should then contact us to start the process of budgeting and developing the project.

Do I need a license for a modular house?

As with any other type of construction, you need a license from the municipality, there are no exceptions. It is merely “rumors” and “false information” to say that a permit is not required even for so-called “mobilhomes” with wheels or false wheels.

Can I build a modular house on agricultural or rustic land?

Yes, you can, as long as the land is viable for construction. You should check with the local council in the area where the land is located. For tourism projects, the whole process is simpler and there is the possibility of building on some sites with restrictions.

Can I choose a house to my liking or just standard models?

You can customize your house in terms of size using the various modules available and in terms of interior and exterior decoration. We have 3 colors available for the exterior roof (black, green and earth brown). And you’ll always have the chance to visit our factory while the house is being built (by appointment).

Is it possible for the house to be dismantled and set up again in another location?

Yes, our structures can be dismantled and reinstalled. You should contact us so that a technician can come to the site and advise on the whole process and quote the cost.

Do prefabricated structures require maintenance?

Our structures require minimal maintenance because only the front and rear façades have wood exposed to the natural elements. We recommend applying a specific exterior oil every year (you can consult our maintenance plan if you want us to do the work).

I want to go ahead with a tourism project with Azimod houses, how can you help me?

Our team includes architects and engineers, among others, who can help with the design of the project. We are also partners with one of the largest consultancy firms in the country, where we help clients apply for EU funds to support tourism.

Do banks lend money for this type of house?

Yes, even the banks have started to adapt to this new type of construction that is going to be the future. Caixa Geral de Depósitos and Caixa de Crédito Agrícola already have specific credit options for this type of construction.

Is it possible to take out multi-risk insurance for a house like this?

Although most insurers still resist taking out multi-risk insurance for modular/pre-fabricated buildings, we have developed contacts with FIDELIDADE and they insure our buildings.

Why are Azimod houses considered ecological?

The entire construction process is already environmentally friendly, given that there is no waste, the manufacturing time is much shorter than traditional brick construction and the various materials used are mostly made from renewable and/or recyclable raw materials.

We are also proud to have been able to develop a domotic water-saving system that reduces water consumption by at least 50% (water consumption in Europe is around 120 liters per day per person and tends to rise to 160 to 180 liters). The domotic system also manages solar electricity production and solar water heating. We are the only company in the world today with an OFF-GRID* solution that allows a 3-day stay for a family of 4 people without external connections to the house.

* Optional OFF-GRID Pack

What guarantee do you give for Azimod houses?

The legal guarantee period is five years from the date of delivery / installation.

But we are sure and confident that the quality of our homes and the fact that the materials used are of the highest quality mean that they will easily last for more than 15 years with proper maintenance.
